The standard for the name “mushroom” is the cultivated white button mushroom, Agaricus bisporus, hence the word mushroom is most often applied to those fungi that have a stem, a cap , and gills, sing on the underside of the cap, just as do store-bought white mushrooms.

I saw these mushrooms in my MIL backyard. I still remember when I was little, me and my friends used to picked mushrooms by the creek and cook it. If the weather is like humid and moist lots of mushroom sprouting in the grass. I don’t know if this kind of mushroom can be eaten. The only safe way of distinguishing between the edible and the poisonous species is to learn to identify them.
