Thanks for the post, Kathy Shelton
I love the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards. They are always fun and relaxed. My favorite part about the Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards is the fact that my kids love it. It is a kid’s show and very relaxed and full of fun.
I have to admit one of my favorite parts of this show is the unexpected slimes that are bestowed on various entertainers. The looks of shock on their faces are priceless. The celebrities are all good sports and don’t seem to get too upset about getting slimed. I always wonder if it’s cold, hot or if it tastes bad.
This awards show is probably the most fun and most relaxed awards show on TV. I think the kids get excited about their opinions counting and seeing their favorite stars come out for them. The celebrities that participate seem to truly make it about the kids.
There is no red carpet pre show broadcast because let’s face it; kid’s do not really care about fashion. The dress code for this award show is casual and it is nice to see the celebrities in their every day clothes.
I like the interesting awards given to the stars that earn them. The surfboards are pretty cool to me and I have heard celebrities say they want to earn two or three of them.
We simply turn on the satellite TV, that I got after realizing I can http://www.directstartv.com, and wait to laugh when the Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards are broadcast.
Because I run after my toddlers every day, I oftentimes miss scenes from my favorite shows if not the entire show itself. Another reason is, the kids wants to watch their favorite cartoons all day long and I always missed those shows I already planned of watching. I hate it when I go away for a couple of minutes and just miss the crucial portion of the entire episode. I’m thinking of getting a Satellite TV that gives me the opportunity to watch more shows on HD.
But then again my first priority of course is taking care of my kids. I may hate that I miss my shows but as soon as I hear my children call for me, I’d leave anything I’m doing in a heartbeat. This is why I’m trying to convince my husband to get a Direct TV for us. With this service I can just record what I want to watch and when the kids are asleep, catch up on the shows and I’m guaranteed not to miss a single scene. Satellite TV has been popular lately, and most packages now come with lots of HD channels so I’m not just guaranteed of watching my shows but in great quality too.

I am a little corny but I enjoy chick flicks probably more than the average person. It might be because I’m a chick! I think my favorite one has to be Knocked Up. It starred Katherine Heigl and it was so funny. For those of you who have never been pregnant or have been close to someone that is pregnant, you need to watch it!
My boyfriend rented it so we could watch it over at his house on directv deals. The jist of it is that this beautiful blond and average guy and she gets pregnant after a one night stand with him. They try to make it work as a couple with a few hysterical bumps along the way. I should mention she lives with her sister and brother in law. They have a whole mess of problems themselves. They’re married, bored, have children, and I got the impression that they really just didn’t like each other. It was sad but the directors made it very funny.
The ending was typical. She went into labor and after the baby was born, they both realized how much they cared for each other and lived happily ever after. This has to be one of the funniest chick flicks I’ve seen in a long time. It’s well worth your time to check it out!
