Trade Toys and Olympus is mine

Samsung WB150F

It’s not the Mt. Olympus or the home of Olympian Gods of the ancient Greek world that I have in possession now, it’s the Olympus camera. I actually switched my Samsung camera that I bought early this year with my friend’s camera. Husband, kids and I went on a two weeks vacation to the Philippines last month. I got to see some of my closest friends again and one of them is Yvonne, a former co-teacher and friend.
Olympus Camera

She liked my Samsung camera and I like the olympus camera. I never had olympus camera and I’m thinking i can buy a new Samsung camera if I want too. There is sime features in olympus camera that I like plus it totally fits in my old camera case. What camera brand do you like best?

Photography Through Different Camera & Lens (Pictures overload)

Photography is the art, science, and practice of creating durable images by recording light (photons – hence, “photo”-graphy) or other electromagnetic radiation, either chemically by means of a light-sensitive material such as photographic film, or electronically by means of an image sensor. Photography has many uses for business, science, manufacturing (e.g. photolithography), art, recreational purposes, and mass communication. A camera is a device that records images that can be stored directly, transmitted to another location, or both. The term camera comes from the word camera obscura (Latin for “dark chamber”), an early mechanism for projecting images. The modern camera evolved from the camera obscura. Source: Wikipedia

We lost count already how many types of cameras we have today in the 21st century since the time it was invented. I do not know the different types, models, names of the cameras unless I Google it or search it in Wikipedia. Camera involves and it continued to change through many generations of photographic technology. There were various types of camera from when it was invented and started. Anyway, as of now I have owned five different types of digital camera. The latest one is the Samsung Wb150F with 18x optical zoom, 14.2 megapixels, 3.0 intelligent LCD (hVGA) and Wi-Fi connectivity. Because of the advancement of technology we can now send pictures from our camera to our email address and of course save it on the computer and whatever. I love everything about this new camera that I bought on eBay. Thanks to a friend who sort of share this type/brand of camera. The color is nice and the picture is very clear.

It was January 2011, my first baby-the Sony digital camera that I bought from a free gift card to CSN store now wayfair through blogging/product review. It is technically free because I did not spent a penny for this and I only blogged something about the store. Just recently I dropped this camera on the floor and it stop working. I can still open and close it but it stop taking picture. It was a good camera while it lasted.

It was October 2010 when I bought a second hand FinePix S1500 camera from a very good friend. I enjoyed that camera and I loved it. But then my sister wanted a camera so I decided to gave it to her since I had other digicam at that time and was planning to buy a new one. The Fine Pix S1500 was a really cool camera and I love the B&W feature in and so was the panorama.

Black & White feature

When my husband and I got married we did not have much enough money. My mother had been helping us and gave us money to buy a digital camera so we bought a KODAK Z1275 ZOOM DIGITAL CAMERA at Walmart. The Kodak camera still working up until now but as it gets old, it also not doing great. My son had been using that camera to practice taking picture. Below were some of the pictures I took using the Kodak easy share camera.

Date: 1/2/07
Exposure: 0.005 sec (1/200)
Aperture: f/3.8
Focal Length: 22.05 mm

I wonder what type of camera i will be able to buy next time. But I doubt if I will be able to buy a new camera anytime soon. Thanks to blogging opportunity I get the luxury to buy nice camera. Without blogging i would probably still be using our Kodak easy Share camera.

New Toy | Samsung Camera

Samsung WB150F SMART 14.2MP 18X WI-Fi Digital Camera (White)

A shopping impulse that resulted to replacement. I was fooling around taking silly picture of myself that turned awry. I was standing in a wheeled computer chair about to take a snap of myself when the chair rolled away. Unable to balance that caught me off guard when I fell off the hard floor. I hit my head and back so hard plus the sudden impact I also dropped my digital Sony camera. I broke my camera because of my silliness. I did not feel pain at first and I wasn’t worry about my broken camera. I was just feel humiliated and embarrassed of my action. The Samsung Camera that shopped secretly became the instant replacement. Both of my point and shoot camera that I could carry easily are broken. I have DSLR camera but it’s too bulky to carry around.

Consequently, this Samsung Camera (White) was a good buy. I was gonna hide this from husband but because I broke the Sony camera and I had to use this camera for blogstuffs. He also received the box on the mail and saw me using it. He asked what was in the box but did not asked too much about how I got this camera. I bought this Samsung WB150F SMART 14.2MP 18X WI-Fi Digital Camera (White) on eBay for $129.00

Product Description;

Samsung’s WB150F SMART Long Zoom Digital Camera (White) separates itself from the status of a mere point-and-shoot with WiFi functionality for instant sharing and “cloud” storage. When in a hotspot with the WB150F you can upload to social networking sites, sync the camera with other “smart” devices – such as a TV, phone, or tablet – and store files on the Microsoft Skydrive. It’s easy; once you’re in a WiFi hotspot, just connect using the camera’s log-in browser. Additional features of the WiFi connectivity include the use of Auto Backup, for transferring your photos to your PC with a touch and the Remote Viewfinder, for operating the camera from your smartphone, among others.

When it comes to the camera’s shooting specs, the WB150F sports respectable functionality, as well. A 14 MP CCD image sensor allows for capture of not only 14 MP still images, but also 720p (30fps) video. A 24mm Schneider wide-angle lens, with 18x optical zoom and Dual Image Stabilization, also helps you capture clear, precise images. And the 3.0″ (7.6 cm) LCD screen provides a generous platform on which to compose and review shots or scenes. Additional features include a full manual mode (A / S / M), Samsung’s Smart Filter 3.0, and Live Panorama.
